DAY 1
We depart London St. Pancras International by Eurostar to Paris where we catch a train service to Orléans where we stay for four nights at the Ibis Centre Foch Hotel approximately 10 minutes from the station with numerous bars and restaurants nearby in the pedestrianised city centre.
Each evening is free for you to explore and to dine at leisure at a restaurant of your choice, or to join your Tour Manager at our choice of typical French restaurants (not included in tour fare).
DAY 2
We commence our day by taking the train to Tours where we board as private coach to Ecueille for a steam charter on the Le Train du Bas Berry Meter Gauge Line to Argy. We then continue by road where we take a regular diesel railcar over the Meter Gauge Blanc d'Argent Line to Salbris. At Salbris we change to the main line back to Orléans.
BDAY 3
After breakfast we travel by coach to Grez sur Loing were we visit the fascinating Tacot des Larc 60cm Gauge Railway which has a collection of over 40 locomotives. We'll take a trip on the line which runs beside lakes which were once gravel pits and attractive woodland.
DAY 4
Today we travel by road to Pithiviers where we visit the "Musée des Transports" which is holding a gala with regular trains running along the 60cm Gauge Line to Bellebat.
BDAY 5
Our final day taking the mainline train to Paris where we take the Eurostar back to London St Pancras International.
