We meet at Crewe station and transfer to the Heritage Railway Centre for a private tour. After our visit we travel to the Potteries where we have a tour and tasting at the Titanic Brewery, one of the Potteries finest, before registering at the Travelodge Hotel in Newcastle under Lyme. We have a welcome evening meal at a unique local restaurant after which the evening is free to enjoy at leisure in the town with its numerous real ale pubs. .

After breakfast we head out into the delightful Staffordshire Moorlands for a visit to the Rudyard Lake Railway, which is now home to the track and stock of the former Isle of Mull Railway. Rudyard Kipling was named after this famous local beauty spot and the line runs along the lakeside. After a lunch break featuring the local delicacy of filled Staffordshire Oatcakes we travel to the Amerton Railway for a private steam photo charter. This mile long, 2-foot gauge line is rarely visited by enthusiasts, and we have requested the 1897 built W.G. Bagnall of Stafford 0-4-0 loco Isabel, for whom the line was built, to be steamed for our charter. After our visit we return to Newcastle where the evening is free to dine at leisure in the town centre.

We travel by vintage coach back out to the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands for a day on the standard gauge Churnet Valley Railway, steaming through Staffordshire's 'Little Switzerland' as it was marketed by the original North Staffordshire Railway. In the morning we take the diesel hauled service from Froghall through the Churnet Valley then out onto the moors via the steeply inclined route past Leekbrook to Ipstones. On the return journey we alight at Consall station for a visit to what is in our biased opinion the most scenically located railway pub in Britain - the Black Lion at Consall Forge - after our visit we take the afternoon steam hauled service and retrace our morning route up onto the moorland at Ipstones then back down through the Churnet Valley to Froghall. A truly relaxing day in glorious scenery. After our visit our coach take us to one of the North's most revered pubs - the amazing Yew Tree at Cauldon Lowe.

We commence our day with a visit to the unique 'Tracks & Trenches' WW1 event at the Apedale Railway which is an excellent project conserving a substantial collection of British Narrow Gauge industrial locomotives and artefacts, including those owned by the Moseley Trust on this special day with numerous locomotives 'in steam'. We conclude this popular North Staffordshire tour with an afternoon at the popular Foxfield Steam Railway with unlimited steam rides along this much-loved former colliery line that actually runs through beautiful countryside.

After breakfast we transfer to Stoke-on-Trent station for our homeward journeys.
