On your Booking Confirmation receipt there is the name of a specific member of our Customer Services team. That person is then your personal contact for any queries you may have about your forthcoming holiday.
For UK tours its your choice as to whether to make your own way to the Tour Base or utilise our rail inclusive fares from your home station
Again for UK tours we are the only rail holiday company to include rail travel and seat reservations* from your home station as part of the published holiday fare. * please note some local trains do not offer seat reservation facilities
You have a choice of travelling First* or Standard class on your journey to and from the Tour Base. * some local and regional trains do not have First Class seating.
We give fare discounts on all UK tours for holders of National Railcards.

If you have a mobility restriction we are happy to discuss any tour on a day by day basis to see if it meets your mobility requirements so we can be sure it is the right holiday for you.
The UK rail tickets we issue as part of your holiday package are not restricted to travelling on a specific train service or with a specific train company, so if a hic-cup should occur during your journey your tickets are valid on subsequent trains.
We make sure there is stress free travel. If there should be a hiccup on your journey to and from the tour base (e.g. missed train) your itinerary includes a Railtrail Helpline number to our office where we advise you on your onward journey, monitor that journey, whilst maintaining contact with you throughout - using our immense knowledge of the UK rail system to ensure you have stress-free travel

We have a 100% security of clients money via a Lloyds Bank Trust Account A Trust Account means that any monies paid for your holiday remain in the Trust Account until the day after you return from holiday when the Trustee transfers the money to Railtrail Tours current account.
This gives clients complete peace of mind as in the unlikely event of Railtrail Tours ceasing to trade all of your pre-paid monies are in the Trust Account at Lloyds and the Trustee would simply return your monies in full via the method you paid (cheque, debit card, credit card) please note credit card administration charges are non-refundable.
This system of financial protection removes any requirement whatsoever for you to make a claim for your money, no stress, no form filling, and a 100% guarantee that your monies will be returned in full (with the exception of credit card charges should you have chosen to pay by that method)
