DAY 1
Journey in First Class from your home station to Glasgow and, after making your own way to the Hotel du Vin, you will have time at leisure before meeting our fellow travellers and enjoying our first evening meal together.
DDAY 2
After breakfast today, we will meet our knowledgeable local guide who will take us on a fascinating stroll through Glasgow taking in the botanical gardens, Byres Road, the University of Glasgow, and the Kelvingrove Museum. We then enjoy time at leisure to explore before returning to the hotel for our evening meal plus we get to sample some of Scotland's finest single malts in their well-curated and comfortable whisky room.
B, DDAY 3
We will enjoy a leisurely breakfast this morning before our private transfer collects us for our journey to Oban where we embark on the Lord of the Glens, a luxurious vessel that embraces a classic and timeless style. After settling into our cabins, we enjoy a welcome reception and dinner whilst remaining berthed in the city.
B, DDAY 4
Today we explore Oban on foot and visit the impressive McCaig's Folly for spectacular views across the bay. During lunch, we sail to Craignure, Isle of Mull, for a tour of Duart Castle which has dominated the view to the Sound of Mull and Loch Linnhe for over 700 years.
B, L, DDAY 5
This morning, we travel to the Isle of Iona, the last resting place of some 50 Scottish Kings and where St. Columba introduced Christianity to Scotland. Later, we sail to the island capital of Tobermory for an afternoon exploring the harbour town where brightly painted houses adorn the waterfront and where we remain berthed overnight.
B, L, DDAY 6
Today we cruise the Sound of Mull and Loch Linnhe passing Castle Stalker where the Monty Python film, Holy Grail, was filmed and berth in Corpach. From here, we take a train along part of the West Highland Railway to Glenfinnan, widely considered as one of the most scenic railway journeys, we travel through scenic landscapes and cross the magnificent Glenfinnan Viaduct overlooking Loch Shiel.
B, L, DDAY 7
Today we ascend the spectacular Neptune's Staircase, a dramatic flight of eight interconnected locks, to Banavie in the shadow of Ben Nevis. We enjoy a relaxing afternoon on board sailing through the picturesque Loch Lochy and the tranquil, tree-lined Laggan Avenue to Loch Oich where we moor overnight at Fort Augustus.
B, L, DDAY 8
This morning, we descend the Fort Augustus locks to Loch Ness passing the romantic ruins of Urquhart Castle and sailing along the man-made section of the Caledonian Canal. Our final stop is the city of Inverness where we visit Culloden, the infamous battlefield where Bonnie Prince Charlie's Jacobite forces were defeated, exploring the ancient standing stones of Clava Cairns before our final evening meal aboard the Lord of the Glens.

After breakfast this morning, we disembark in Inverness and transfer to the station for our homeward trains.

Nestled in Glasgows chic West End, the Hotel du Vin is an exquisite boutique hotel tucked away in a Victorian terrace. The restaurant serves a delicious selection of dishes using locally sourced ingredients and the cosy, inviting bar is the perfect place to unwind. The luxurious bedrooms offer a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries, a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi.
Lord of the Glens
Lord of the Glens is comfortable and welcoming providing a relaxed atmosphere with a classical and timeless style. The delicious cuisine on board makes use of local produce providing a heart Scottish breakfast to begin the day, various lunches, and a 3-course banquet style evening meal served daily whilst the Sir Walter Scott lounge and bar, on the upper deck, provide for magnificent all-around panoramic views of the Highland scenery. Lord of the Glens has 26 comfortably appointed cabins offering en-suite facilities, eco-friendly toiletries, ample wardrobe space, dressing table, hairdryer, and large picture windows.
