DAY 1
Travelling by Eurostar from London St Pancras to Brussels, then onwards to Regensburg for our overnight stay at the Ibis Hotel where we check in and enjoy our first evening meal together.
DDAY 2
After breakfast this morning, we travel by rail to Jindrichuv Hradec and make our way to the Hotel Concertino for our overnight stay. We enjoy free time to explore this picturesque lakeside town before our evening meal together at a local restaurant.
B, DDAY 3
Today, we enjoy an exclusive steam charter on the JHMD narrow-gauge line through fantastic forest scenery with brilliant photo opportunities included. Afterwards, we journey by rail to Prague and our hotel for the next five nights, the Hotel Essence, before our evening meal at the Vytopna Restaurant where our food will be delivered to the table by a model railway!
B, DDAY 4
This morning, we experience a vintage tram charter through Prague and visit the fascinating Public Transport Museum which houses unique historic vehicles and exhibits. We continue our day travelling by road to the Solvay Quarries Open-Air Museum where we can explore their collection of narrow-gauge locomotives, machinery, trucks, and bulldozers before touring the site on our steam-hauled charter. Afterwards, we return to Prague for our evening meal together in a local restaurant.
B, DDAY 5
After breakfast, we journey by rail to Luzna for a guided tour of the National Railway Museum exploring the extensive collection of steam locomotives from narrow-gauge to freight trains before our nostalgic ride on their railway. Afterwards, we return to Prague with the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city before reconvening for our evening meal together in a local restaurant.
B, DDAY 6
Today, we travel to Mladejov to visit the exhibition of narrow-gauge locomotives, historic motorcycles, agricultural, and construction machinery at the Industrial Railway located in a former fireclay factory where we also enjoy a ride behind steam to the Hrebec Mines. We return to Prague by train in time for our evening meal together.
B, DDAY 7
This morning, we take the train to Benesov for a full day at the fantastic Steam Locomotive Festival to enjoy the nostalgia of soot, smoke, and steam. Multiple historical steam trains will be in action including special trains from Germany and Austria plus vintage diesel locomotives and railcars. Our tickets allow unlimited rides on the special departures and include entry to the remarkable Vehicle Exhibition in the depot displaying even more locomotives plus model railways and vintage cars. After an exciting day at the Festival, we return to Prague for our evening meal together at a local restaurant overlooking the Vltava River.
B, DDAY 8
After breakfast this morning, we depart Prague by train travelling via Dresden to Frankfurt and, on arrival, we transfer to the InterCity Hotel for our overnight stay. We enjoy some free time to explore and relax before our final evening meal together.
B, DDAY 9
We bid farewell to Frankfurt, returning by rail to Brussels, where we will join the Eurostar service to London St Pancras.
