DAY 1

Arrive in Quito and transfer from the airport to our hotel.

DAY 2

Cultural tour of Quito's historical centre, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. We enjoy lunch together before continuing to the Intinan Equator Museum. Dinner at leisure in Quito.

DAY 3

This morning we travel by coach to Peguche waterfalls. After we can be immersed in vibrant tapestry of Otavalo's indigenous markets and EcuaFina and witness the artisanal textile process at Peguche Wasi.

DAY 4

Today we climb aboard the Train of the Lakes for an unforgettable journey through Ecuador's stunning northern highlands! Departing from Ibarra, the train winds its way past beautiful lakes, lush valleys, and breathtaking mountains, ultimately reaching the vibrant town of Otavalo.

DAY 5

Today we experience the tradition of Ecuadorian bizcochos, a delicious buttery biscuit. We watch skilled bakers at work, learn about the history and importance of bizcochos in Ecuadorian cuisine, and even get the chance to make our own. This hands-on experience offers a unique insight into Ecuador's culinary heritage.

DAY 6

Today we set off on a scenic journey back to Quito with a visit to El Boliche. We take a short walk through lush woods at the historic station, surrounded by the echoes of old trains. Later, we transfer to arrive in Machachi, a town rich in cultural heritage and charm. Savor local flavors and explore its vibrant streets before we retrace our steps back to Quito.

DAY 7

Today we begin an unforgettable journey to Urbina Station, the highest in Ecuador. There is time to explore the cultural richness of this station before we continue to the majestic Chimborazo Volcano. Marvel at its snow-capped peak, the closest point to the sun, and visit the oldest church in the region, the La Balbanera Church.

DAY 8

Today we experience the Nariz del Diablo, an amazing train ride in the Andes, a zig zag railroad that climbs more than 500 meters in less than 12.5km with steep ascents and descents.

DAY 9

Today, we transfer from Riobamba through the Avenue of the Volcanoes.

Today we transfer to Quito Airport, where we take our flight to Lima.

DAY 11

Today we spend the day exploring the beautiful city of Lima. We take a guided tour through the UNESCO listed historic entre. Later we visit the Larco Museum where we take lunch and a guided tour.

DAY 12

Today we transfer to Lima Airport, where we take our flight to Cusco. We enjoy a lunch at Chicha where Andean flavours meet contemporary cuisine, we have the afternoon to relax.

DAY 13

Starting the day early we journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. First, we visit the Maras salt ponds/mines, where locals harvest salt using ancient methods. Next, we explore the Moray an ancient agricultural archaeological site, known for its concentric terraces and unique microclimates.
Later we board the Observatory train for unforgettable 360 degrees views of the landscape to Aguas Calientes.

DAY 14

Starting early, from Aguas Calientes, we take a short bus ride up a steep, zigzagging road to finally reach the Machu Picchu Citadel, perched in a breathtaking mountain setting. Upon arrival, our private guide will delve into nearly every corner of this iconic Inca site, which dates back to the 15th century, making your visit truly special. After immersing yourself in the history and mystery of Machu Picchu, we return to Aguas Calientes, then back to Ollanta Tambo in the Sacred Valley, carrying memories of a lifetime. We transfer back to Cusco.

DAY 15

Today we board the Ruta del Sol - Titicaca Train, from Cusco to Puno, the train pays homage to the 1920's Pullman trains, featuring elegant dining cars and an observatory bar car. We travel through spectacular mountain landscapes to Lake Titicaca, and marvel at charming villages, winding rivers, lush pastures, and majestic snow-capped peaks. We savour a three-course lunch and enjoy a Pisco Sour demonstration, adding local flavour. At "La Raya," the highest point of the journey, you may wish to disembark briefly to explore the serene surroundings and take in the crisp mountain air.

DAY 16

Today we embark on a captivating adventure at Lake Titicaca, Uros and Tranquile Islands. We take a boat ride to Taquile Island, an Andean gem with Mediterranean-like shores. We enjoy a delightful buffet lunch at Luquina. We continue to the floating Uros islands, learning their unique history. We enjoy dinner together this evening.

Today we transfer to Juliaca Airport, where we take our flight to Lima.
