DAY 1

Journey from your home station to Plymouth and, on arrival, we will make our way to the Copthorne Hotel, our base for the next four nights. We enjoy free time to explore our new surroundings before meeting for our first evening meal together.

DAY 2

After breakfast this morning, we take the train to Gunnislake and transfer to the Tamar Trails Centre where we join the Mineral Railway Trail and walk the scenic route through woodland to Morwellham Quay. Here we step back in time in the Victorian Village and discover the conditions the miners lived and worked in with fascinating exhibits and workshops before we ride the train through the Geroge and Charlotte copper mine. Afterwards, we return by road to Gunnislake Station for our journey back to Plymouth in time for our evening meal.

DAY 3

Today, we walk the waterfront from our hotel starting at the historic Barbican, past the Hoe, and into the Royal William Yard where we board our ferry to Mount Edgcumbe. On arrival at Cremyll, we can explore the historical house with its revolutionary design and stroll the unique gardens through layers of gardening history. Afterwards, we may be able to visit the miniature 5" narrow-gauge railway (subject to opening and volunteers) before returning by ferry to Barbican for our evening meal.

DAY 4

This morning, we travel by train over Brunel's Saltash Bridge to Liskeard where we change trains to journey along one of the prettiest rural branch lines in Britain, twisting, turning, and hugging the riverside to the estuary at Looe. From here, we walk the stunning cliff top route to Polperro, a picturesque fishing village where we enjoy some free time. You may wish to have lunch in one of the quaint cafés or visit the delightful Polperro Model Village before returning by road to Looe for our train back to Plymouth where we enjoy our final evening meal together.

DAY 5

After breakfast, we bid farewell to Plymouth and make our way to the station for our homeward journeys.
